Gather together for an evening of yoga and song. We will mark the shifting season by combining two innate expressions of being, movement and sound. A simple call-and-response song learning format (in English) will bookend a 75 minute all level vinyasa flow. Preparing to turn inward during the fall season is an opportunity to focus the gaze on the internal state of our physical experience. From this perspective, we will explore how to access sound from body parts and systems, investigated how the voice can promote physical fluidity, and experience how embodiment influences the use of our voice. The lengthened period of time in communal song will give the body a chance to receive the healing qualities of intentional vibration, while the yoga practice will support our ability to fully inhabit our physical selves.

As a teacher, I try to find a middle ground where the active body can help illuminate the illusive mind and spirit. I am interested in working deeply with principles of skeletal, muscular and energetic alignment, while also sharing the rich mythical, spiritual, and historical lineage that yoga asana descends from. Currently I am studying asana with Todd Jackson and anatomy with Renee Sills. I am also in the process of attaining another 300 hours of teacher training
