A message from Rachel Stern: We have reason to celebrate! It has been such an honor to be a part of the People’s Yoga community since we opened almost 10 years ago. I am so grateful for my students, the way they hold space for me to teach, their commitment to practice, and how they learn to honor where they are in each moment. My students have helped me grow in so many ways. Therefore, to fully celebrate all the wonderful connections in my life as I turn 40, I would like to invite you, my amazing students, to celebrate with me by combining 2 of my favorite things: Karaoke, and Playful Practice.
The first half of this workshop will be a silly yoga practice held at our SE Belmont Studio designed to prepare us to sing our hearts out. For the second half, we will use our fully embodied selves to sing for 2 hours at the Voicebox in SE. The cost includes the yoga and admission to the Voicebox. You are welcome to open your own tab for food and drinks at the Voicebox.
cost: $45, 10% TPY member discount
Held at our SE Belmont Location, and then at Voicebox
2-4PM is yoga, and 4PM onwards is Voicebox!
Rachel Stern (RYT*) began studying yoga at age 2, took a 20ish year break, and rediscovered the joys of a consistent yoga practice over the past 13 years. She received her 200-hour teacher certification in Interdisciplinary Yoga from the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, and completed a year long teaching apprenticeship yoga at Amrita, in Portland, Oregon.
Rachel believes that yoga is an inquiry into the body, encouraging students to experiment with movement and breath to unlock the inner wisdom of the body and spirit. She continues to practice a variety of styles, but believes that the best yoga you can practice is the yoga that feels good in your body. Rachel encourages students to challenge themselves while being mindful and respectful of their personal limitations.
Her classes blend clear alignment with joyous fun, and will invite you to take your yoga practice off of your mat and into your daily life.
