Donica Burdette

she/her

Donica began practicing in 2012, and was immediately drawn to the ways in which the practice revealed less harmful ways of living in this world. Yoga has helped her work towards and maintain healthier approaches towards herself and others. She took breaks here and there, then truly committed in 2019 when she completed The People’s Yoga’s teacher training led by the brilliant and inspiring Abby Kraai. An intensive 300-hour course on Yoga Asana, sequencing, anatomy, and philosophy, only strengthened her connection with the practice and confirmed her love of working with others. She is dedicated to showing up with honesty and maintaining a safe, uplifting space centered around accessibility for all. She feels honored to share the healing benefits that Yoga can have on the mind, body, and spirit.

Donica was born in South Korea, adopted at eight months old and became a part of a discombobulated, yet loving family, who raised her and her brother in Virginia. She moved to Oregon and graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2016 with an Art degree and has resided in Portland ever since. She loves hiking, likes running enough to do it once a week, and lives for the company of her close friends, family, and cat.
