Margarita Smith

(she/her)

I am a solar powered, southern expat running on recycled parts. I completed my 200-hr training at the Daya Foundation under the instruction of SarahJoy Marsh and Heather Smith.

I came to the practice of yoga after a kidney transplant. Through yoga I was able to strengthen and heal my body and also manage the underlying ailments that led to my kidney failure.  I decided to become a yoga teacher because I wanted to share the benefits of yoga with others who were living with chronic illness or just feeling uncomfortable in their bodies. I’m committed to making my class a space that is accessible to everyone, whatever their accessibility needs might be. As a teacher I want to share the joy I’ve found on the mat with anyone who seeks it.
