Nicolette Urlich

she/her

Nicky discovered her love of yoga in high school at a local fitness gym in her hometown of Huntington Beach, CA. However, it wasn’t until her personal practice became a part of her daily life while serving in the Peace Corps, that she uncovered her true passion for yoga.  Nicky earned her 200hr certification within holistic physical yoga, yogic philosophy, and Ayurveda science approach from Yoga Shakti in Southern CA in 2014. During graduate school at the University of Oregon, Nicky taught at local studios, Mudra Yoga Eugene and Eugene Yoga, focusing on developing her vinyasa practice and a love for gentle yoga. Nicky and her husband spent the last few years in Durham, NC, where she taught at Blue Point Yoga and expanded her teaching methods to focus on yoga for beginners and yoga for people experiencing physical limitations.

Now that she’s back in the PNW, Nicky is excited to bring yoga to the various communities she is part of. She continues to learn and practice in order to share with others, honoring the styles and methods she studied. Nicky encourages her students to cultivate focus and a sense of calm through attention to breath and physical sensation, finding the balance of effort and ease through daily yoga practice.
