Well y’all, I’ve been trying to avoid this for as long as possible, but we will need to increase our prices beginning August 1st. As you can imagine, our operating costs (and the living expenses of teaching staff) have increased just as your costs have. In addition to rising rent and energy costs, covid continues to create circumstances that are challenging for our traditional financial model. Historically, we’ve been able to offer ultra-low pricing by having a boatload of people in classes. Due to the need to continue to play it cautious in public and the fact that not as many people are leaving their homes for yoga these days, that financial model has yet to recover. And, frankly, we’re not sure things will ever work quite like that again. While we don’t bemoan whatever changes continue to come our way, we do need to adapt to them in order to ensure the studio, our teaching community and you can continue to come together in reflection, movement and practice.
If you’re financially struggling, our hearts are reaching out. I’m hopeful that the pricing increase we’ve come to won’t break the bank.
After years of teachers and students advocating for a tiered membership system, we’re making some adjustments to our unlimited monthly membership. Our base membership will now be $85 per month, but those with the means to offer more financial gratitude to the studio’s systems and teachers can choose to upgrade to $95 or $108/month. All unlimited memberships will include full access to our studio classes, livestream classes and on demand portal as well as discounts of workshops. We’ll also have a livestream only membership for $65/month for those who are strictly participating from home. All pricing changes will take affect beginning August 1, grab a class card this week if you’d like to purchase it at the current rate.
